The C-MAR Group attended the Offshore Support Journal (OSJ) Conference in Kensington, London on the 16th and 17th February 2011. C-MAR was well represented with attendance from the Engineering Division (Dan Endersby & Jeff Bockmeyer), the Marine Division (Mike Blease-Shepley) and Group Marketing (Mike Hawdon).
The 2011 OSJ Conference was the biggest ever run with over 350 delegates at the 2 days of presentations and debates with the focus being as usual the OSV market place and operations. A wide range of topics were discussed including the ‘Financial and Legal landscape of the OSV market’, Technical and Operational developments in the OSV market’, Global Standards and Greener OSV operations and ‘Safety and Security in the OSV market.
With the wide range of topics being discussed C-MAR’s attendees found many interesting presentations to observe and Dan Endersby commented ‘ the Conference was well attended as usual with plenty of current and potential clients for C-MAR. The focus on developing marine operations in Arctic areas was very informative and the analysis of the OSV market from the brokers regarding the over supply of vessels and the utilization rates for all types of vessels was fascinating’
