DP Centre Success Story Continues

The success story of the Dynamic Positioning Centre (DP Centre) continued in 2010 with another record year. The DP Centre Worldwide trained over 1400 students last year to maintain it’s industry leading position for the provision of training Dynamic Positioning Operators (DPO’s) to Nautical Institute validated standards..

Following its founding in London in August 2000 the DP Centre realised the need for high class training provision around the world and has expanded into Singapore (2003), Brazil (2007), Croatia (2008) and Mumbai in August 2009. As well as training all five DP centres provide technical services to the marine industry through consultancy for the design and operation of DP vessels, Failure Mode Effect Analysis and Audits to IMCA standards. The fact that they are part of the C-MAR Group allows its clients access to a huge range of additional services including marine operations, management and consultancy, recruitment services, subsea and electrical engineering, Dynamic Positioning training and consultancy.

The expansion of the DP Centre has been the result of a lot of very hard work across the company and the continued significant investment of the C-MAR Group’s Board of Directors. The global locations of the DP Centre’s have enabled the other Divisions of C-MAR to establish themselves in locations it would otherwise have been difficult to enter without the prior presence of the DPC.

Peter Aylott, the COO of Technical Services commented ‘ These 2010 figures really underline the global success of the DP Centre branding and products. The Group now has some of the most modern and sophisticated training simulators in the world and very few competitors can match our geographic reach. We must continue to strive to provide excellence in our training delivery and I have every confidence that our first class instructors and staff will do just that’.

Well done to all at the DP Centre personnel around the globe.
