Jonathan joined C-MAR Consultants in November 2009, having spent the previous eight years as a marine pilot in the Humber Estuary. He commenced his seagoing career in 1989 and saw service in product tankers, bulk carriers, dynamically-positioned drill ships and cable layers. Latterly he has worked on large passenger and freight Ro-Ro ferries. Whilst at sea, Jonathan sailed in all ranks up to and including Chief Officer.
A former pilot, he has wide-ranging experience and expertise in ship handling, towage and the use of tugs, under keel clearance issues and navigation in confined waters.
Jonathan holds a Master Mariner’s Certificate of Competency and is currently studying for an Open University law degree.
